What could our business do to
participate in Fête de la Musique?
Host a live musical performance inside or on the grounds of your business between the hours of noon and 10pm on June 21, 2009. This performance could be as short as 30 minutes in length, and could be instrumental or vocal. This event could then be listed as one of the musical offerings during Fête de la Musique. Should you have an employee that wishes to perform, terrific! If you’d prefer, the Arts Council can make arrangements to place an artist at your location.
Does it cost anything to
participate?
No. All concerts or performances are free of charge to the public, and being listed in Fête de la Musique materials is provided to participants at no cost.
How many people could we
anticipate to attend?
This is difficult to estimate, though in previous years, Fête de la Musique has brought thousands downtown to view and experience music. At the Arts Council, we work with musicians and venues so that offerings are adequately spaced throughout the day, making the largest number of offerings available to attendees. However, it is expected that sharing this event with your own employees, patrons or clients would be your practice as well, further enhancing your audience.
What methods of marketing are
used?
The Arts Council employs many marketing methods. Specific to Fête de la Musique, there will be a schedule of the day’s events
available to the public via pick up locations throughout the city, including
those spots that plan to host musical performances, such as your own. Additionally, web, editorial, newsletter, and
radio methods will be used to invite the general public to come downtown to
visit this terrific festival.
Please
consider hosting a musical event in or around your business on June 21, 2009.
We hope
you’ll be a part of Fête de la Musique
2009!
